MARCHING TO JERUSALEM

1THERE is a holy city,
A happy place above,
Among the starry regions,
Built by the God of love.

RefrainYes, we'll march around Jerusalem,
We'll march around Jerusalem,
We'll march around Jerusalem,
When we arrive at home.

2There Jesus sits exalted,
In God-like majesty;
The angels bow before him,
The elders bend the knee.
While we'll march around Jerusalem, &c.

3Is this the man of sorrows
Who stood at Pilate's bar—
Condemned by haughty Herod,
And by his men of war?
Yes we'll march around Jerusalem, &c.

4He seems a mighty conqueror,
Who spoiled the powers below,
And ransomed many captives
From sin, from want and woe.
We'll shout around Jerusalem, &c.
