Hymn 493

1LORD of my life, whose tender care
Employ my humble days ;
Whose goodness sends my daily fare,
And fills the circling hours.

2While angels mark my feeble sighs,
And restless pains and woes,
In gentle sleep I closed my eyes ;
And undisturbed repose.

3Oh ! let the same celestial love
My waking hours attend ;
From every danger, every rove,
My trembling steps defend !

4Smile on my moments as they roll,
And guide my future days ;
And let thy goodness fill my soul
With gratitude and praise.
