Melita
1When pain and grief a mortal frame Rachel me with a gentle, loving slum, to call - the mourner leaps.
2So when in silence nature sleeps, And lonely watch the mourner keeps, One thought shall cheer the heart dismay'd, Trust, feeble man, thy Maker's love.
3And when the last, dread hour shall come, And this frail dust waits for doom, This voice shall wake the righteous dead, Lo, it is I, be not afraid.
