THY kingdom come. Thus day by day
THY kingdom come. Thus day by day, We lift our hands to God and pray; But who has ever truly weighed The meaning of the words he said?
Thy kingdom come. O day of joy, When praise shall fill every tongue employ; When hate and strife shall be no more, And man with man shall all be peace.
Jesus shall reign on Zion's hill, And all the earth with glory fill; When Satan's reign shall have an end, And sin and death afflict no more.
Then all the hosts of heaven shall sing, By all who live beneath the sun; For saints shall then as angels be, All changed to immortality.
