SINNERS, the call obey
SINNERS, the call obey, The latest call of God; Turn, turn, or in that awful day, Of a devoted race.
To shelter the distressed, He laid his own down; Fought our battle, won the rest, In Jesus' wounds secure.
Justice consents to spare, From the devouring sword; Our city of defence is prayer, Our help is in the Lord.
O fly, if the sentence fallen, And laugh at innocence; Those everlasting arms, we know, Shall be our sure defense.
