Oh! how I long to see that day

Studio

1Oh! how I long to see that day When the redeemed shall come To Zion, clad in white array, Their blissful, happy home.

RefrainOh! bear me on, bear me on To Mount Zion; Oh! bear me on to that city of love, Where Jesus is gone.

2To hear the allelu-ia roll In cadence sweet and strong, And with a Heaven-enraptured soul To join redemption's song.

3To see all Israel safe at home, Singing on Zion's light; And Christ the Lord upon his throne, Creation own its right.

4All hail! the morn of glory's high, When Jesus shall we see; That dress the tear from every eye— Creation's jubilee.

5Jerusalem I long to see, Blest city of my King; Oh, when shall I transported be, And hear the blood-washed sing.

6My longing heart cries out, Oh, come! Come, Lord Jesus, come to thee; The weary pilgrim sights, Oh, come! Bring immortality.
