Rejoice in the Lord

Rejoice in the Lord Who makes your cause his own; The hope that kindleth here below Shall ne'er be overthrown.

This only thy God hath sent your road, And faithful is thy guide; You are the redeemed of God, Beyond the reach of harm.

Weak as you are, you shall not faint, Or, fainting, shall not die; His gently-sustaining hand Will aid you from on high.

Though now unseen by outward sense, Faith sees him always near, When troubles thickest gather round, What, then, have we to fear?

As surely as he overcomers, And triumphed once for you, In thy great and glorious name Shall triumph in him too.
