There Is a Book

1There is a book whose pages tell
Of One who lived of old,
Whose life and words and works reveal
A love that can't be told.

2That book declares to all mankind
That God so loved the world,
He gave His Son, that whosoever
Believeth might be saved.

3O precious book! O glorious news!
It tells of Jesus' love,
And points the weary, heavy-laden
To rest and peace above.

4Then let us read with earnest hearts
This blessed book each day,
That we may learn of Jesus' love
And walk in wisdom's way.
