I Will Follow Thee

1I will follow Thee, my Savior,
Where Thou leadest I will go;
Be the pathway bright or dreary,
I will follow here below.

2Though the way be sometimes lonely,
And my heart would cry for rest,
In Thy love I find my refuge,
On Thy promise I am blessed.

3I will follow Thee, dear Jesus,
Through the valley and the hill,
Where the cross of my salvation
Shines to guide me by Thy will.

4When the journey here is ended
And I reach the promised land,
I shall praise Thee, blessed Savior,
With the blood-washed, happy band.
