Weighed and Wanting

1Weighed in the balance and found wanting,
Shall we hear the Chief works speak-ers say?
Shall we hear the Saviour's pleading,
While we from our sins are turning away?

RefrainWeighed in the balance and found wanting,
Shall we weigh and found wanting,
Shall we wait and found and wanting?

2Shall we hear the Chief works speak-ers say?
"Faithful servants" and "Well done," Or far down-cast awful sentence,
Shall we hear the Saviour's pleading,
While our sins are all forgiven?

3Oh, we must be weighed and found wanting,
Warned in the balance of the Lord;
Shall we not heed the warning,
Shall we wait and found and wanting?
